VITA Tax Site

We prepare income tax returns for low-income individuals & families FREE of charge using Tax Software provided by the IRS.  There are two certification levels - Basic and Advanced - and volunteer preparers are needed at BOTH ability levels.  All returns are reviewed by a separate quality reviewer, so inexperienced volunteers are welcome.

You can start making appointments January 19^th.  All appointments based on volunteer availability February 7^th through the tax season. Once the appointment has been set, a volunteer will be contacting you with further information including items you need to bring. 

We are a group of volunteers that assist in operation of an IRS VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Site.  Some volunteers act as greeters or other office support and do not need tax law knowledge or certification.  Other volunteers become IRS Certified Volunteer Tax Preparers by completing an online tax law certification program.
