Who We Are
At United Way of Mahaska County, we know by reaching out a hand to one, we can influence the well-being of many. We work with thirteen not for profit agencies in Mahaska County to ensure their services are available to all those in need.
What We Do
At the United Way of Mahaska County, our vision is to improve lives for a better tomorrow. Our mission is to empower our community by promoting education, encouraging healthy living, and strengthening financial stability. Our values are being committed to making our community a better place to live by encouraging people to GIVE, ADVOCATE, and VOLUNTEER. We raise funds to invest in partner agencies, host events that encourage people to volunteer and organize programs that reach out to those in need. We work to encourage collaboration between organizations because together we can accomplish more.
EDUCATION - Encourage personal advancement through education.
INCOME - Improve financial stability and self-sufficiency.
HEALTH - Promote mental and physical health and wellness.
