What the volunteer will be doing:
- Answering the crisis line as assigned
- providing information, resources, and referrals to callers
- completing Shelter Screenings with callers requesting Emergency Shelter
- greeting donors, delivery drivers and other visitors to our headquarters office
When they are needed:
- CIS will utilize assistance as the volunteer's availability shows. Volunteers are needed Monday through Friday from 9 to 3
The volunteer must complete 20-hour online Victim Counselor Training and internal trainings focusing on legal advocacy, medical advocacy and housing assessment/intake.
*Volunteer cannot have received services from CIS within the last year - Pending Executive Director approval
