The 2016 Color Me United 5K is a fundraiser run coordinated by United Way of Mahaska County (UWMC) to raise money for the Iowa Reading Corps program at the Oskaloosa Elementary School. Due to weather conditions the 5K, which had originally been scheduled for April 30th has been rescheduled for May 14th.
UWMC normally utilizes volunteer help from William Penn Student Athletes, but the rescheduled date falls after WPU graduation, so we likely won't have the help we normally depend on. We are looking for volunteers of any age that would be interested in helping along the 5K route. Volunteers are needed to help direct runners, and traffic to help keep all of our event participants safe.
