Community Investment Member
Job Description
The Community Investment Member is an essential part of the United Way of Mahaska County team. This person will report directly to the Executive Director. The Community Investment Member’s primary task is to read, analyze, and decide where the grant money from United Way of Mahaska County is distributed.

Qualifications
- Previous Board Members of non-profits
- Volunteer in the Mahaska County Community
- Strong reading and writing skills
- Logical thinkers
Time
The Community Investment Member’s time commitment is between 2-3 months that will include 1-2 hours per week. No weekend hours are required for this position. Some hours outside of a typical business day may be needed (9a-5p).

UWMC will provide reference letters for all volunteers who complete a placement.
