Day of Caring is just around the corner so we are taking requests of projects for our teams to complete! This year we want to focus on veterans and their families. Projects like building ramps, fixing minor damage to a home or cleaning up their yards, to name a few, is what we are looking for. If you know of a veteran or a family member of a vet with a project needing completion please nominate them and their project.
We are also taking request for non-veteran related projects. In years past, projects have typically consisted of cleaning up parks, painting inside or out, gardening, minor construction and/or just general beautification of our community.
Please fill out this form and return it to the United Way of Mahaska County by August 15 for consideration. We do have many requests and would love to finish them all but there is no guarantee a project will be completed simply because it was submitted.
